Visit London 2012 venue Dorney Lake – this world class centre of sporting excellence is just nine minutes’ drive from the Thames Riviera.
Our close proximity to this amazing venue makes us an obvious choice for rowers, triathletes and families looking for hotels in Maidenhead.
But you don’t have to be an athlete to have fun at Dorney Lake. Its great facilities and Olympic heritage make it a must-see for anyone staying at our family-friendly hotel.
Not least because the lake has appeared in so many films and TV shows including Bond movie Spectre, Made In Chelsea, The Social Network, The One Show and Take That’s The Flood video.
Dorney Lake is owned and managed by Eton College. It was here in 2012 that Great Britain’s rowers won nine medals: four golds, two silvers and three bronzes.
That was more medals than next placed New Zealand and Germany put together! And let’s not forget the two medals (gold and bronze) won in 2012 by Great Britain’s canoeists at Dorney.
Dorney plays host to 50 days of major sporting events every year including:

Enjoy 450 acres of stunningly beautiful parkland, including a nature conservation area and an arboretum.
You can see Dorney virtually all year round but remember that the lake is privately owned – so you’ll need to check in advance because public access may be restricted on some big event days.
Parking is only £2.50 per day but the meters don’t take cash so payment is by automated means only.
Our riverside hotel has 52 bedrooms – many with stunning views of the Thames as it winds its way towards London.
