There is also a four great shop located around the castle which stock a range of children’s toys and other souvenirs to keep the kids entertained during and after your visit.

A number of guided multimedia visits are organised in the castle which are a great way of introducing the older children to the more in depth historical aspects of the royal fortification.

These are available in ten of the major world languages including English, French, German and Spanish and provide a fun way to learn about the extensive history of the castle which dates back to the medieval and gothic eras.

“Shakespeare in the Royal Library” is a special event being hosted at the Castle between 13th February 2016 and 1st January 2017 which celebrates the 400th anniversary of the famous playwright’s death.

For the art lovers amongst you, The Royal Collection at Windsor Castle is filled with beautiful paintings, ornate furniture and intricately crafted sculptures for you to explore at your leisure.
