Next month is one of the most exciting in the calendar for the Thames Riviera Hotel because June is synonymous with Royal Ascot!
We’re just 22 minutes’ drive from this legendary five-day festival of horseracing excellence. This year’s Royal Meeting runs from June 20-24.
Many guests choose to make the Thames Riviera their base for Royal Ascot – not just for our stunning riverside location but also because of our rapid and very convenient links to the M4.
But you’ve got to be quick because tickets for Royal Ascot are selling fast.
Royal Ascot’s early booking period is now over – both the Windsor Enclosure and the Village Enclosure are now sold out for Saturday June 24.
At time of going to press, tickets were still available for all five days of the Royal Meeting. (The Queen Anne Enclosure still has tickets for the Saturday at £88 per head).
Thursday June 22 (Ladies Day), Friday June 23 and Saturday June 24 are expected to sell out weeks before the event (as they did in 2016). Tickets start at £37 for the Windsor Enclosure on Tuesday June 20 and Wednesday June 21.
Don’t dawdle though – you’ll need to be quick to avoid missing out! That also applies to our accommodation for Royal Ascot week. Rooms soon get snapped up during this very popular period.

Sartorial elegance is the order of the day at Royal Ascot. Each enclosure has its own dress code.
As one might expect it’s the Royal Enclosure there the rules are strictest:
Special rules apply to children (which may be admitted only on the Friday or Saturday), overseas visitors (formal national dress is welcome) and serving military personnel (service dress or equivalent).
The dress code is less rigid when it comes to the Queen Anne and Village Enclosures. And in the Windsor Enclosure pretty much anything goes as long as it is smart. Replica football shirts are expressly not permitted.
To avoid confusion, it pays to check well in advance. For full details go to the Royal Ascot web page and scroll down to the dropdown menu marked ‘Dress Code’.
Car is by far the best option – the quickest route (via Bray and Fifield) is 10.7 miles (22 minutes).
For your sat nav, the Ascot racecourse postcode is SL5 7JX.
Normally, parking at Ascot ranges from free to £8 (depending on which car park you use) – but during Royal Ascot week the prices rocket, starting at £35 for cars.
Trains and buses are also available but journey times range between one and two hours.
